Looks like the Lords and Ladies sworn to House Arryn of the Vale are making their appearance known early in Game of Thrones than the books.
English actors Rupert Vansittart (Doctor Who, Braveheart) and Paola Dionisotti have been cast as Yohn Royce and Anya Waynwood respectively in the show. Both characters are loyal to Lady Lysa Arryn, sister of Catelyn Stark.
Yohn Royce, bannerman of House Arryn, is the father of Ser Waymar Royce, the young Night’s Watchman who was killed by a White Walker in the opening sequence of the show. In the books, he’s known as Bronze Yohn and was named as an ally for Ned Stark against Cersei Lannister after the death of Robert Baratheon.
Lady Waynwood first appeared briefly in A Game of Thrones, present when Tyrion Lannister demanded a trial by battle, and comes to fore in A Feast of Crows. Given the crossing story lines, it makes sense for her to make an appearance in the show now.
