Jeanine Mason has joined the upcoming TV pilot Delirium, as Lena’s (Emma Roberts) friend Hana. Mason is most well known for winning the fifth season of the popular dance contest television show So You Think You Can Dance. She seems to be jumping from dance into drama!
Her character in the pilot is described as a “feisty party animal” who lives next door to Julian Fineman and enjoys messing with his head. She is also “less rebellious than she appears.” The character is described in the novels as blonde so I’m sure there’ll be some backlash in that regard. Mason has also appeared in the ABC Family dance-centric television show Bunheads.
Delirium takes place in a society where love is outlawed, and all citizens receive surgery to cure them of the disease they call “deliria.” Complications ensue, of course, when Lena falls in love with Alex (Daren Kagasoff) just days before her scheduled procedure.
