Shailene Woodley has been confirmed by Hypable as “in consideration” for the role of Hazel Grace Lancaster in the upcoming adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. If John Green and Wyck Godfrey’s tweets are anything to go by, it seems like she’s probably going to be cast in the role, unless this news is director-related. Since, in previous reports, Wyck Godfrey has said he would wait for a director to cast any actors. However…Shailene did retweet John’s tweet about big news (at her account @ShaileneWoodley), so I’m thinking she probably has this role, or she’s close to closing negotiations. She is on fire isn’t she? With her role in The Spectacular Now that received amazing reviews from critics, the leading role in the huge upcoming franchise Divergent, and her upcoming role in the Spiderman film, and now possibly one of the biggest adaptations of the year. She’s on a fast track to mega-stardom. Check out the tweets below:
Big news is forthcoming in re The Fault in Our Stars movie. THIS HAS BEEN A VERY EXCITING COUPLE OF DAYS.
