MTV has revealed their exclusive first look at Godfrey Gao as Magnus Bane in the upcoming adaptation of The Mortal Instruments. “There’s actually a really big pressure because I know there are a lot of fans out there, and everyone loves Magnus Bane,” Gao shared on the set in an interview with Josh Horowitz. “This is my first English feature…I’m actually pretty nervous doing this interview right now. It was always in Mandarin before.” I think his English is absolutely awesome, he shouldn’t be self conscious! He doesn’t even have an obvious accent. The clip also gives a great first look at his introductory scene in the film, and you can even hear his exchange with Jace as they enter the party, and a direct bit of flirtation towards Alec at the end. Oh, and he’s not wearing pants.
