Thank you to Divergent Fans for updating us with the new ‘Divergent’ Movie page on the Summit Entertainment website. When exploring the page we have found that the film has also been given an official Twitter and Facebook page, along with our first glimpse at a title treatment (seen above).
‘Divergent’ is a Yong Adult novel set in dystopian Chicago which has been divided into five factions. The book centers around the choices of a young woman named Beatrice Prior, who Shailene Woodley will portray in the upcoming film. The book was optioned last March for it’s highly anticipated on screen debut, and is set to start filming this summer in Chicago.
There was some confusion earlier today about the release date. For the reason being, the Summit Entertaine page had made an error in saying it would be out on March 14, 2014 (a week earlier than expected). Alas, the correction was made and the film is still set for its March 21, 2014 date.
