Alexander Ludwig Vying for Role of Four in ‘Divergent’

Alexander Ludwig is vying for the role of Tobias/Four in ‘Divergent,’ the upcoming post apocalyptic film based on the novel by Veronica Roth. He tweeted (@AlexanderLudwig):

Had an amazing meeting with Doug Wick (produced gladiator) about playing Four in Divergent. Need to get this one.

The film is being directed by Neil Burger, and has already brought on Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) in the lead role of Tris. Alexander Ludwig is best known for playing Cato in the super popular adaptation of The Hunger Games.

    I like Alexander Ludwig BUT NO NO NO!!!!!! No offense to him but he is so wrong for the part. He is a great actor but he just doesn’t fit four’s character.

    Oh this casting is going badly. Alex is great, amazing, but so wrong for Four. I agree that he should play Peter – he would be perfect!

    NO. NO. NO. I have nothing against him… But for me he is SO NOT a Four. He’s more like a Peter or Eric. But I just, CAN’T see him as Four.

    I do not care what anyone says he is perfect for the part! People just say no cos of the character he played in the Hunger Games. I think the description of 4/tobias just sounds like him!
