The @HisGoldenEyes twitter is now @PagetoPremiere.  Make sure you tweet “Yes,” to@PagetoPremiere to get onto our Camp Twilight twitter list.  Being on the list will give you special access to win prizes at Camp, plus you can connect with other campers!

Last night I had the opportunity to speak with a representative from Summit Entertainment and tried to get an answer to some of your questions about Camp Twilight/Fan Camp for ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.’

Does Group number or the order in which you check in have any bearing on where you are placed during the premiere?

No.  There’s no reason to be the first in line for your Group. There’s no need to line up early.  You will just be wasting your own time. Fan placement along the red carpet during the premiere will be managed differently than it has in the past and where you end up pitching your tent will have no correlation to where you end up on the carpet. If you are in Group 1, which has a check in time of 8 – 10 AM, you will be fine if you show up at any time during that window.

Will I be able to charge my phone, tablet, etc. while at camp?

Yes, Summit  is working on making charging accessible for campers.

Will they have enough room for me to camp?

Yes. Again, you don’t have to worry about being the first in line for your Group. They are prepared to handle the number of campers. If you have been assigned a Group number for camp, there is a spot for you.

Make sure to check out our full  ‘Breaking Dawn, Part 2′ Camping Guide and review Summit Entertainment’s Fan Camp ‘Rules of Conduct’ on the Camp registration site.

    Thanks Amy!

  • Mary

Thanks for answering these! One more question… Is group 6 definitely in a separate area? Is the check-in area the same as for other groups? Thx!

  • Rebecca

Is there a certain amount of tents a group can have?

  • Amy

Mary – I’m also in Group 6 so this was a concern for me as well. It was indicated to me that we would all be in the same area.

Rebecca – The restriction is on size, 8″ x 8″ or smaller, not number of tents. Just keep in mind that there are a lot of people camping and try to limit to the number of tents you need for the amount of people in your group.

Best wishes to all, the fun and excitement of being with others who share your love and passion for Twilight is the best par ! You may not get that great picture…you may not get an autograph…hours of standing…being pushed and shved from behind …Unfortunately camping out is not what it use to be. Too many people showing up a week in advance have ruined it. Sleeping in the parks, using businesses as locker room. My daughters and I have been lucky enough to camp out for several NYC Red Carpet premieres…( 4 HP and WFE ) they were wonderful!! We literally showed up the night before camped/slept/and made new friends. We always met the “talent “as they call it and always got autographs ….enjoy, have fun and be safe …Believe me I would be there with you f I could …

  • Wendy

    Thanks Amy!

I have some friends in groups 1 and 2. I’m in group 6, do you know if I’ll be able to interact with them or will they keep the groups separated?
Also, will they have like a list of who is in what group and NOT let in people who are in groups whose check in time isn’t yet? I’ve been to too many events where they tell you not to show up early but you get screwed bc people do and they start changing the rules there and then. Sorry for my paranoia I just want to make sure I won’t lose my spot if I get there at 5

  • Anonymous

How long are we allowed to leave every day or can we just come and go as we please??

  • Anonymous

Purple- from what I know, they have the lists organized in the system and they WILL be checking what your email says. If it says you’re not in that group, you will not be allowed in.

  • melissa

summit should really make this info an official statement. as it is, many group 1 people are planning on getting in line the night before. even group 6 people are planning to get there hours early. does summit want to avoid lines or not?

  • http://www.mandysmind.com Mandy

They should make some kind of rule about # of tents. And it is my understanding also that group 6 would be in same space, they just had to extend the length of area “reserved” – we will see soon – can’t wait !

  • Alex

Melissa- On the registration site it says that anyone who does not show up WITHIN their check-in time “May be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from the fan camp” and that any lines formed before 8 am WILL NOT BE RECOGNIZED, so I think that they don’t want lines to form until the appointed times for check-in. As long as you show up WITHIN the check-in hours you were appointed, not before or after, all will be good. :)

  • Melissa

Alex, the problem is that not all 2250 people have read this page. and even some that have, are still taking it with a grain of salt because it hasn’t come from summit.

  • Angie

I have a question. So with the substantial increase in people allowed to camp out now, are they making the red carpet area larger to accommodate this many people or how are they going to do this? With this many people now, there is a part of me wondering if it will be as much fun as before. it seems like a lot of people for an area to accommodate. Also, where are we supposed to report to when checking in? And one last question, i know there are usually star appearances before the premiere. With this many more people this year, are they still going to be able to accommodate having the stars there? This I am very much looking forward to hoping to maybe meet Peter Facinelli:) Thanks for helping me out, Amy!

  • Angie

One more, Are they going to be strict abput people who are in later groups trying to show up early? Im hoping so because if not this whole organization of this premiere was pointless from the beginning. I am sure people will do this so i want to make sure the rules will stick for those that played fair.

  • Amy

Purple – you will all be part of fan camp and you will be able to hang out with your friends. There are enough spots for everyone to camp. You don’t have to worry about there not being a spot.

  • Amy

Anonymous – please review the Summit rules, but here’s the info about coming and going: Are we allowed to leave camp to eat, shower or for any other reason?
Yes, fan campers will be allowed to leave camp for limited periods of time to eat, shower and for other needs. These times away from camp are usually allowed by event security for brief periods or time and will need to be coordinated through the security staff onsite. Leaving for extended periods of time longer than a few hours is usually not permitted.

  • Amy

Alex is right Melissa – Summit did put a statement about lining up early in the Rules of Conduct. It is the first rule – 1. No lines will be recognized before 8:00 AM PDT on Thursday, November 8, 2012. Any guests that arrive before their assigned check-in time may be subject to disqualification from camping and may not be admitted into the Fan Camp.

L.A. Live is private property and people who attempt to camp out the night before will be removed from the property and be in violation of Summit’s rules.

  • Amy

Angie – I don’t know that we will have an answer on the set up for the red carpet prior to the day of the premiere.

I don’t know exactly where check in is, but I’m sure it will be obvious. I would start your search on the Nokia Plaza if it isn’t obvious.

Summit hasn’t made any announcements regarding Camp programming yet. Last year we didn’t know events until the day of or day before and we didn’t always know who the players were until the event happened.

Summit has very clear guidelines about checking in at the appropriate time. I don’t believe they will let people check in early. Summit wants things to be fair and the rules are fair.

  • Alex

Thanks for the continuous updates Amy! I agree that the rules are fair and I hope that the fans can keep everything fair. I’m just so stoked for Fan Camp, can’t wait!
