Picture 319

Disney’s adaptation of ‘Matched’ by Ally Condie has a director! ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ and ’30 Days of Night’ director David Slade has been set to direct the film version of the novel. The story takes place in a dystopian future where teenagers are ‘matched’ to their ideal mate in a special ceremony – so when Cassia is matched to her best friend Xander, she is over the moon. However, right before the screen fades to black she sees a flash of a different match – Ky Markham. The government tells her it was just a glitch, and to forget about it, but she can’t stop thinking about this mysterious boy she may or may not have at one point been matched with. The film is being produced by Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot, and the sequel to ‘Matched,’ titled ‘Crossed’ is also available in bookstores.

@Mickey – Whoops, fixed it. ha. I actually didn’t use the cover with the title when I first wrote the title / article, I did the image afterwards, and for some reason I thought her last/first name were spelled the same way. ;)
