The upcoming adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘Treasure Island,’ from Warner Brothers, has a director! Collider.com reports that Guy Ritchie, who is most well-known for directing the Sherlock Holmes films starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, has signed on. Alex Harakis will write the screenplay, and Lionel Wigram will produce the film alongside Ritchie. Wigram has been developing the film for a few years already, with different directors previously coming close to signing on. There have been so many adaptations of this classic story, do you think it’s over-done or can there always be another ‘Treasure Island’ film?
