Lily Collins (Mirror, Mirror)is in talks to star in ‘Rosaline,’ a twist on Romeo and Juliet that’s based on Rebecca Serle’s debut novel When You Were Mine. Rosaline is the woman Romeo first claims to love from afar before he becomes enamored with Juliet. ‘Rosaline’ tells Romeo’s ex-girlfriend’s side of the story. Michael Sucsy is directing from a script by Scott Neustader and Michael H. Weber [(500) Days of Summer]. There had been talk of Hailee Steinfeld, Dave Franco and Deborah Ann Woll starring, but deals were never able to work out.
I heard that Deborah Ann Woll was going to play Rosaline and Lily Collins would be Juliet in this adaption…
