The Page to Premiere reader spotlight of December is recognizing E.K. Hoke:
1. Which P2P book are you choosing to receive and why?
I would absolutely love to receive The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. It just sounds so magical and different, unlike anything I’ve ever read before. Plus I’ve heard raving reviews on it, and I don’t want to miss out on an incredible new novel that’s soon to become a movie! I always have to read the book before I watch it’s adaption on film.
2. What is your favorite page to screen adaptation from the past?
Hmm, that’s a hard one. I would have to say the Narnia series. Seeing it on-screen was a whole new experience for me!
3. What is your favorite book that hasn’t yet become a movie?
One of my favorite books is Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater–such a gorgeous book, and it would make a gorgeous movie too.
4. Which upcoming adaptation are you most excited for and why?
I am SO excited for The Hunger Games to come out next year!! I know everybody probably says that, but I am such a huge fan of the books. I read The Hunger Games when it first came out and have been waiting ever since to see it come to the big screen. I practically passed out when I saw the trailer:)
5. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? Why is Page to Premiere a site that interests you?
Let’s see– I’m 17 and an absolute rabid reader. I’m one of those kids who got their books taken away when they got grounded. I have a huge family, three dogs and live in a small house, which makes for a lot of chaos during the day. I love to run, play the harp and eat chocolate. As for Page To Premiere, it’s the best site ever! A little more than a year ago I discovered Mockingjay.net, and from there I was lead to P2P. It was like my dream come true because I’m always looking for updates on which of my favorite books are being made into movies. My friends all depend on me to know the latest on upcoming book adaptations!

I read it! It is beautiful. That is the only way I can describe it. The idea, itself, that the story is based on is gorgeous. The imagery, the smells, the sights, the feelings, will have you in a sensory euphoria. This book is fantastic. Read it–if you haven’t already!
