Extremely lucky blogger Eric Vespe, aka “Quint” of Ain’t it Cool was invited to spend over two months on the set of the in-production adaptation of ‘The Hobbit’ by J.R.R. Tolkien. I quote:
“A little over a month ago an email arrived asking of my interest in embedding myself on the set of The Hobbit for the entirety of their location shoot, spending over 2 months in New Zealand rolled in with the crew and writing up their adventures, hassles, triumphs and tribulations as they traveled all over the country shooting bits and pieces from the upcoming two-parter prequel to Lord of the Rings. As Winston Zeddemore taught us all, the answer to this kind of question is always YES!”
Quint even got to have a cameo in the movie! You definitely should read his full blog post to hear about his amazing experience, but beware, it does contain spoilers.
Quint got to take photos, and have an overall one-of-a-kind experience to share with all of the extremely excited fans! Although I was very young when the first three films came out, I thoroughly enjoyed them and am very eagerly anticipating ‘The Hobbit.’
Please go check out lots more photos at his blog, AintItCool.com! He is still on set so we’ll get more great content from him soon.
