After filming eight Harry Potter films over the course of a decade, Rupert Grint (Ron) and Emma Watson (Hermione) have gotten as close as siblings. So, when it came time to film the pivotal kissing scene, it got a little awkward. Director of the last 4 ‘Potter’ films, David Yates, helped them along a bit. “I said to Rupert, don’t be Rupert. Forget Rupert. Just be Ron, let Ron take over in that moment. I said the same thing to Emma: Let Hermione take over in that moment.” In the new behind-the-scenes footage we can see hilarious moments between Rupert and Emma, flubbing the kiss with laughter. On filming the scene Emma Watson said, “If someone is literally like a sibling to you, you’ve grown up with them – being put into a situation where you have to kiss them, is just…really awkward. Rupert was like, ‘I don’t know how we’re going to do it.’ I was like, I have no idea either.” Thanks to Hypable for the video!
