Hi guys! My name is Michelle and I am the new Page to Premiere Reporter for The Host and I’m hoping that my introduction will be as good as everyone else’s now. I’m 17 and I live in Australia, so bare with me if you see some words and think ‘that should be spelt ‘color’ not ‘colour.’ Since giving out Twitter seems to be the thing to do mine is here if you want to follow me.
However, I do have some news.
GQ.com (UK) have an interview with ‘The Vampire Diaries’ actor Ian Somerhalder in which he mentions the rumor on The Host IMDB that he is to play Ian O’Shea in the movie adaptation of The Host. He doesn’t confirm that he will be playing Ian, nor has he acknowledged that he has been approached about the role, but then again you never know. What do you think about Ian Somerhalder as Ian? Who do you think should play Ian?
And please, if you know anything or have any ideas of what you want posted to do with The Host, please comment and let me know. I don’t bite, I promise.

He’s not how I pictured Ian at all but I think I mininterprented the descriptions. Read them again, and I think he would be quite a good Ian! I really like Ian (Somerhalder) and I think he will do a great job playing Ian (O’Shea), he’s a really good actor! Gawd all those Ians, it’s confusing
I think Ian would do a great job playing Ian. I love him in Vampire Diaries (which was also a Book Series) and I would love to see him as Ian. He would be a pretty good one In my eyes, too. Thanks for the great info, Michelle! I look forward to reading more!

Well, I’d love he would play Ian O’Shea, he was born for that role! about what others commented about the sexier, well it depend on the one who looks at him, because Jensen Ackles would be the perfect one for Jared Howe.

I think Ian would be perfect for the part as ian because his a amazing actor and he is hot I picture ian as someone attractive and Ian is very attractive! Hopefully he does get the part and it not just a rumer that he has a chance to get it

I like Ian Somerhalder, but I dunno. I kinda pictured a buff, farmer-y guy as Ian O’Shea. Not a redneck, not a farmer, but a tough looking guy that’s really sweet. I don’t think Somerhalder would be that great of an Ian O’Shea.
I really hope he doesn’t play Ian. I don’t want that character to be ruined. He needs to stick to that gay show Vampire Diaries. We need real actors who can act. Twilight’s ruined just because those actors can’t act.
First things first.. Have some of you commenters not watched the Vampire Diaries? Ian Somerhalder *can* act.:) I think he’s perfect for the role, but.. I don’t want to get my hopes up.. Because usually when the actor is a fan-fav, and it’s a Stephenie Meyer book gone movie, the guy doesn’t get the part.. But I’m praying he has the part. I love him.. *sighs and looks into his eyes* So hot..

Ian would be the best Ian ever ! and the character of Ian in the movie would be very close to Damon and as he is playing it way more better than anybody else, I believe he would be the best at the host !
I don’t think he would be a good Ian at all. I think that everyone just wants him to play the part just because his name is also Ian. But he doesn’t have the same physical description as in the book, and beside, who would play Kyle? I don’t think he is at all the best choice for the part. But this is just my oinion. No hate, please!
